About Edesia

Being entrepreneurship students, our task was to create an innovative product to cater to the needs of the market.We have noticed that the pickle industry only served papaya pickles or papaya atchara hence, we wanted to make an alternative product. Also, we saw the potentials of raw ingredients like green mangoes to be transformed into a delicious gastronomic treat. Hence, gone were the days when green mangoes can only be eaten with salt & vinegar or shrimp paste, alamang. Made from the freshest green mangoes and from the most delicious ice cold beer, Edesia Foods has created:

It's great for snacks, for pulutan and for side dish with grilled meat, poultry and seafood.

The name of the business is Edesia Foods which comes from the Roman Goddess of Food, Edesia, who presides over banquets. Her name comes from the Latin verb edes, "to eat" or "to consume". She is the numen, or divine spirit, of feasting, which was apparently considered a magical and important act by the Romans deserving of its own Goddess.
The verb edes can also mean "to spend money on food."
